You can earn as an affiliate on the free plan

You don't need a store, a subscription or a product of your own. You need an account and somewhere for the money to land.

You can earn as an affiliate on the free plan

There is a version of this that requires you to buy something first. It's usually called an opportunity, and it isn't one. This isn't that: joining a creator's affiliate program on store.fan is free on every plan, including the free one, and nobody sells you anything to get started.

What you actually need

  1. 1A store.fan account. Free, and you don't have to sell anything with it.
  2. 2Your own Stripe account, connected once. This is the part people skip, and it's the reason commissions sit as pending.
  3. 3An audience of some kind — a newsletter, a group, a following, a forum where people ask you what you use.

That's the whole list. There's no application fee, no minimum audience size, and no product of your own.

How to pick something to promote

Open the directory of creators currently accepting affiliates. Each one lists the commission, the attribution window and every product with exactly what it pays you. Look for two things: something you'd genuinely recommend, and a rate that makes a post worth writing.

The second matters more than people expect. Forty per cent of a $12 download is $4.80 — you'd need a lot of posts. Thirty per cent of a $59 course is $17.70, and one good recommendation to the right list can be a month's coffee.

Getting paid

When a referred buyer pays, your commission is transferred to your Stripe account as the payment settles. There's no payout day, no threshold to reach, and nothing to invoice. If your Stripe isn't connected yet, commissions accumulate as pending and go out automatically once it is.

What you'll see, and what you won't

You see clicks, the number of sales, the sale amount, your rate and your commission with its status. You do not see the buyer's name, email or address — that stays with the creator, which is also the reason creators are comfortable running these programmes at all.

No, though recommending something you've used converts several times better. Ask the creator for a copy — most will say yes to someone about to promote them.

The commission reverses in proportion. A commission is earned on money the creator keeps, and that rule protects the programmes you're joining.

Yes. Each one is a separate programme with its own link, rate and window, and they all pay into the same Stripe account.
