THE SPLIT HAPPENS INSIDE THE PAYMENT
▮▮ ▮ ▮▮▮ ▮ ▮▮
The money never passes through you
That's the whole trick. The commission leaves the buyer's payment before it reaches anyone, so there's nothing to invoice, nothing to chase, and nothing to accidentally spend.
A referred buyer checks out
They clicked an affiliate's link some days ago. Checkout looks exactly like any other checkout — no code to enter, nothing to explain.
The payment splits itself
The commission is carved out of that very payment at the moment it's charged, using the rate frozen onto the order.
Two Stripe accounts, one sale
Their cut lands in their connected account, the rest in yours. Refund it later and the commission reverses in the same proportion.
What a rate actually costs you
A commission isn't a discount — it's a payment you only make on a sale that wouldn't have happened. Move the sliders and decide what you can comfortably hand over.
- Set one rate for everything, or a different rate per product.
- A per-product rate beats every other rate for that product — so a thin-margin item never pays what it can't afford.
- Give one affiliate a better rate when they earn it.
Affiliate earns
$17.70
You keep
$41.30
Paying $354 a month to the people who brought those 20 sales. Delivery and tax are never commissionable, and a refund takes the commission back.
Everything your affiliate program gives you
You set the rate
One commission across everything, a different rate on a thin-margin product, or a special rate for a partner who earns it.
Paid from the sale itself
The commission is transferred to the affiliate's own Stripe. It never sits in your balance, so you can't accidentally spend it.
Refunds claw it back
Refund or lose a dispute and the matching commission reverses automatically, in proportion. You pay only on money you kept.
Anyone can be an affiliate
Every affiliate is a Store.Fan member — free accounts included. They connect Stripe once and they're ready to be paid.
Links that survive Instagram
Short links that escape in-app browsers, plus a product-specific version for a single launch.
You see who actually sells
Clicks, sales, revenue and commission per affiliate — so you know who deserves a better rate.
Self-referral is blocked
Buying through your own link earns nothing. It's enforced at checkout, not policed afterwards.
A clickwrap on both sides
Creator and affiliate each accept the terms, with the version, timestamp and fingerprint recorded.
Your buyers stay yours
Affiliates see clicks, sales and their own commission — never a buyer's name, email or address.

They already talk about you
Somebody in your audience has recommended your course three times this month for nothing. Give them a link and a number, and that recommendation becomes a habit.

They get paid without asking
No invoices, no monthly reconciliation, no awkward messages. Their commission arrives as soon as the payment settles.

You learn who can really sell
Clicks, sales and commission per person, in one table. The ones who move volume are obvious within a fortnight.
Live in about a minute
1.Turn it on
Dashboard → My affiliates. Accept the terms, pick your default commission, done.
2.Send them your page
You get store.fan/partner/yourname — your cover, your pitch and every product with what it pays.
3.They join in one click
They sign in, accept the terms and walk away with their link. Vet applicants yourself if you'd rather.
4.Sales arrive already split
A referred buyer checks out normally. Their cut leaves the payment; the rest lands in your Stripe.

Two sides, one system
You can be on either — or both. Plenty of creators run a program and promote someone else's in the same week.

How this differs from bolting on an affiliate tool
Included in Pro at no extra cost. Store.Fan takes 0% of the sale either way on paid plans.

Who actually pays the commission?
You do — out of that sale, not out of pocket. On a $59 course at 30%, the buyer pays $59, $17.70 goes to the affiliate's Stripe account and $41.30 lands in yours. Store.Fan takes nothing extra for running it.
Do affiliates have to pay for Store.Fan?
No. Joining a program is free on every plan, including the Free one — the money reaches them through their own connected Stripe account, not through a store. Running a program is the part that needs Pro.
What happens if I refund a referred order?
The commission is reversed in the same proportion, automatically, including pulling it back out of the affiliate's balance if it was already paid. A partial refund shrinks the commission to match. A commission is only ever earned on money you keep.
Can I pay different rates for different products?
Yes. Set a rate on any individual product and it overrides the default for everyone — useful when a 1:1 call can't carry the same percentage as a $12 download. You can also give one affiliate a better rate across the board.
How long does a referral stay mine — I mean theirs?
You choose the attribution window, from 1 to 180 days, and it counts from the visitor's most recent click. If two of your affiliates both referred the same buyer, the most recent click wins.
Can someone buy through their own link?
No. A purchase made with the affiliate's own account email earns nothing — self-referral is the most common way these programs get gamed, so it's blocked at checkout rather than policed afterwards.
Can I remove an affiliate?
Any time. Block them and their link stops earning immediately. Commissions already earned on completed, non-refunded sales still belong to them.
What do affiliates see about my buyers?
Nothing personal. They see clicks, the number of sales, the sale amount and their own commission — never a buyer's name, email or address.
