🧮 Setting your rate

What should you actually pay an affiliate?

There is no industry standard worth copying, only your own numbers. Work out what a sale is worth to you after Stripe's cut, then decide how much of that you'd trade for a sale you wouldn't have made.

01

Start from margin, not from envy

Somebody else paying 40% tells you about their margin, not yours. A $12 download and a $400 cohort cannot carry the same percentage.

02

One rate per product where it matters

Set a rate on any individual product and it overrides the default for everyone — the product's economics win over any personal deal.

03

Raise it for the people who deliver

Give one affiliate a better rate once they've proved they can sell. It costs nothing to promise and everything to leave unrewarded.

The honest bit — A high rate does not create demand. If a product isn't selling to your own audience, paying strangers a bigger slice of nothing changes very little.
